Who’s Up for Cocktails?

Now us girls like a good excuse to wear every bit of fabulousness we have in our closet, so what better way to bust out some of my best vintage and blingy baubles than Wet Set Socials? Hosted by the lovely Sandra D. — known as mistress of the retro hairstyle workshops  – WSS recently celebrated its one year anniversary of good excuses to dress up and head out to a beautiful setting.

This time, our gaggle of girls crowded into the red velvet, half-circle booths of Ivan’s Kane’s Café Was in Hollywood. This little piano lounge and bistro, founded by the man who runs burlesque club Forty Deuce, is great place to grab a classy gourmet meal and entertainment in a setting  worthy of a pulp fiction novel. In the spotlight was the flirty, swingin’ jazz torch singing of Tiba. Now it’s been said that Tiba will not perform in a place that won’t let her climb atop the piano and if you’ve seen her perform, you’d know why – it’s a true lesson in seduction!

So a toast to a night of good fun and friends – congratulations to Wet Set Social for capping a full year of stiletto-worthy evenings!
